Wedding Invitations Inspired by Disney Fastpasses

So, if you haven't heard... I'M GETTING MARRIED! Originally we were going to wait until July 2020, but after my Grandad passed away the beginning of this year, it got me thinking... so we bought it forward, by a year.

As well as bringing it forward, we have also made it a smaller affair, so it'll be a little ceremony alongside close family and then we'll go for a meal afterwards. Life is short. I don't think I could wait any longer as then I could lose somebody else before the big day.

With that, I've tried to keep the cost down in many different ways. One of which is making my own Wedding Invitations, which obviously had to be inspired by Disney?! And where have Chris and I visited the most together, Disneyland Paris! And then came this Disney Fastpass inspired Wedding Invitation.

This isn't the first time I've made something that resembles a Disney Fastpass and I've previously made some for Disney London Meet Up's and one for Wanna Be Mouseketeer so I didn't have to start from scratch. And once it was designed, I went over to Vistaprint and got it printed on magnetic business cards so they can be displayed on the fridge for years to come.

What do you think? Do you like the Disney reference? And whilst it doesn't scream Disney, it's a gentle nod to Disney that not everybody will get to begin with! Something in which I want going for!

"Next Stop, Disney" Apparel by DISNEYLIZNEY x FIND YOUR SPARKLE

So, I did another thing... but this time around with Emily from Find Your Sparkle! It was Emily that approached me back in February, saying she'd love to collaborate and if you know me, you know I jumped at the chance. Any excuse to get creative!

If you haven't come across Emily and her business before, Find Your Sparkle is a place you'd find all the apparel you'd ever need for a trip to Disney! And more recently she's bought Spirit Jerseys to her store! Something that every Disney fan needs to own at least one of, right?!

As for the collaboration, Emily and I decided to bring my Next Stop Disney designs to life, once again. But this time around as something that's wearable with a glittery finish to it - tees. We've decided to bring a range of Princess inspired locations to life, so you've got the choice of... The West Wing, Motunui, The Wishing Well, Tiana's Place, Dunbroch, Arendelle, The Prince's Castle, Atlantica, Agrabah, Sugar Rush, Aurora's Cottage and Corona.

If this collaboration interests you, get those alarms set... Saturday 27th April at 8PM over at Find Your Sparkle and I'll hopefully see you there!

If you'd like to see a review of all of the designs ahead of time, they're over on Find Your Sparkle's Instagram

"You Just Have To Believe In Yourself" Enamel Pin Design for Fly And Soar Co

So, I am a girl that's always happy to help other however she can, especially if it's creatively! I can't tell you how much I like to get creative as whilst my job pays the bills it doesn't allow me to be as creative as I'd like. So, when Louise (from Disney Fan London) messaged me to ask if I could help design something for her, I jumped at the chance.

Luckily it was something that was within my capabilities and she had a design in mind, but was having difficulty bringing it to life!

And that's when Rex was created,

I am thankful that we decided to not give him eyes as every time I tried giving him some, he just didn't look right?!

And, he was rather popular! Even more popular than I imagined! Which means he's already in production!

The Design of Fly and Soar Co

So, Fly and Soar Co have joined the Disney community and I designed their branding! So, the girl behind Fly and Soar Co isn't new to the world of Disney, but wanted to separate out their personal page and their business and that is when Fly and Soar Co was born.

Myself and Louise (from DisneyFanLondon) was having just an everyday conversation when she asked whether she should give her business an name of it's own, but where do you start with it's name. As Dumbo is her favourite of Disney films we went back and forth with Dumbo inspired names until we came up with Fly and Soar Co and I offered to design it's branding!

And here is it,

The logo itself is inspired by the colours of Dumbo, and features his magical black feather something Louise just had to have included. As it is part of Dumbo's story so felt right to include it!

Do you like it? Can you tell that the name and design is inspired by Dumbo?
